Etude House Super Aqua Sun Guard SPF 35

Early last June, I realized that as someone roughly two decades old, I needed to start protecting my face from the sun if I didn't want to shrivel up like a prune in the future. (I intend to be a fabulous grandmother with awesome nails and makeup and plays video games with her grandkids, tyvm! XD) I was originally set to buy VMV's Armada face cover, but then my mom came home one day with this sunblock from "the pink store I love going into so much". Oh look, free stuff! So since I have this already, and it works well, I didn't buy Armada anymore.

Price: P298.00
Location Bought: Etude House SM Megamall
Approximate Date Bought: last month

Packaging: The Sun Guard comes in a tube that I enjoy holding very much, for some strange reason. It's weird, but smooth textures like this never fail to amuse me. The product comes out of a small "nozzle", which I like because it gives more control.

Formula: The sun screen is thick,  like a BB cream. It is also slightly greenish, perhaps because of the seaweed in it. No worries though, because it absorbs quickly and leaves no traces of color.

"Sun cream with a light texture and freshness of
SEAWEED EXTRACTS protects skin from the sun's
harmful UV rays."

Actual Usage: I don't know if it's just me, but the product feels cooling on the face. It leaves a slightly shiny (Can you consider this dewy? Idk haha!) finish after application, but that's nothing some powder can't fix. I don't remember which powder I used in this picture anymore, although I think it was Etude's BB Magic Pact.

  2. Sorry, I don't know if it's oil free, and the ingredients at the back are in Korean. I tried googling around for an English ingredient list, but I couldn't find anything. :(

These other bloggers like this product too, though:

But anyway, if you're concerned about the oil content for fear of pimples, I've been using this product for a month now and my face is still as normal as ever. And that's with stressing out over school na, ha. XD

  3. I bought this one as well around a few months ago and I like the product as I used it whenever the sun strikes really hard...I like its texture and it isn't really oily as well ;) This product is a must have as a good daily sunblock :)

  4. is it scented? i hate wearing sunblock for two reasons..1.oily/greasy finish and 2.it stinks..if this doesn't smell like sunblock, i should buy it!

  5. It has a minty plant-like smell (sorry, I really don't know how to describe scents), but it doesn't linger on the face after application. Have you ever smelled their Happy Teatime Aloe wash? It's kind of like that, only mintier.
