Welcome to the eighth Sunday Shots, aka my weekly attempt at keeping the blog constantly updated! Sunday Shots posts will be picture posts about the things I've been doing with makeup, school, and assorted cutesy shit.
Food! An old favorite: mooncake (one of the things I like about September!), and a new favorite: PB&Co's Sesame Peanut Butter. I don't eat them together though, that would be too weird! |
Dotting tool acquired! I've wanted one for a long time. This was around P60 at Landmark Trinoma. The P20 rainbow nail file is, unsurprisingly, an impulse buy. :P |
This week I had a topcoat battle. Which brand won? |
This is Etude House on my left hand after 6 days. Not pretty. Take note, I'm not even left-handed. Theoretically, this hand should have gotten less tip wear. |
This is The Face Shop on my right hand after 6 days. Tip wear on only two fingers! We have a winner! |
Usage in the morning. It really gets all the oil my face produced during the night! |
Usage at night, after washing my face. It does a good job of removing leftover makeup that my facial wash couldn't remove. |
Inspired by the success of my pimple-clearing mission, I've decided to work on my darkening undereyes. Let's hope this well-reviewed budget brand works for me too. |
As reference, meet my undereye. To prove whether or not Pure Beauty's eye cream works on me, I will be posting another picture in a month, around October 19. |
i hope the eyecream works for you dee! :) and my nails ATM look more horrible than yours does.
ReplyDeleteI haven't painted my nails for more than a week now. hehe... Awesome comparison, just shows that Faceshop polishes are waaay better than the etude one..hehe
ReplyDeleteaww i want to try the eye cream, is that for dry undereye? having some dry undereye and fine lines. i want to switch.. ^^
ReplyDeleteSugar - I hope it does too! <3
ReplyDeleteHollie - TFS polishes have better staying power but Etude has a bigger color selection, so I still can't stop buying from them hahaha
Diane - The box doesn't say it's for any specific eye type, so maybe it's good for dry undereyes too :D
Will wait for your review of the eye gel! I tried the toner from that line and I liked it.
ReplyDeleteSemi-related to your topcoat battle: please recommend a good base coat? My Elianto one peels even my OPI polishes in a day or two. :|
Kari - I only use base coats for polishes that can cause yellowing in my experience, but the brand I use for base coats is also TFS. Maybe the TFS base coat will be better for you too? :D
ReplyDeleteOooh ok. And it's cheaper pa. I'll get that when I finish my Elianto one :)
